Fisherman’s Life began in my mind many years ago. As a young boy I would request brochures, from the back of In-Fisherman or Outdoor Life magazines, about some far away destination, only dreaming to be able to fish these magnificent places.
Maybe that is how you began your path in the pursuit of fishing. Maybe you took a different path but have the same passion for fishing and have been putting off that dream trip . . . until now.
I worked in a local sporting goods store to help pay my way through school which led me to a lifelong career, 40 plus years, in the sport fishing industry and ultimately to the launch of Fisherman’s Life. While I have fished on six continents to date, I always look forward to that next “trip of a lifetime”.
Whether it be close to home or on the other side of the world, I always prepare the same way and will share my successful secrets with you.

When I first found out that I was able to actually get a spot on the boat, I was over the moon excited. Then the reality set in… I would be going fishing in one of the most remote areas on the planet. How would I possibly figure out all the details needed for a successful trip? Well - enter George! He is fantastic in providing more information than I could have imagined. George took care of all the arrangements including flight suggestions, gear to bring (and not bring), what to expect once on the boat(s) and the river. This was a top 5 trip of my lifetime and George was instrumental in making it come to life. Each day was a new adventure, catching fish for sure, but also being immersed in the remote jungle experience. I am extremely grateful for George and all his experience - but also his willingness to share this knowledge! I simply cannot wait to go on another adventure! Thanks George!

Since many anglers ask how much to tip the guides and lodge staff, here is a guideline (based on double occupancy). Most anglers tip about $55 per day per person ($30 for guides and $25 for staff). Here is an example:
4 Nights / 3.5 Days Fishing Trip (double occupancy)
Staff Gratuity = $100 (per angler)
Guide Gratuity = $100 (please tip double this amount if fishing SINGLE)
TOTAL: $200 (per angler)
NOTE: An envelope is provided for each angler at the end of the stay for the staff gratuity. We kindly ask you to tip your guide directly at the end of your last fishing session.
